ACTIVITIES IN MEMORIAL PARK `BUBANJ` ARE NOT BEING REALIZED AS IN EXPECTED DYNAMICS
02.09.2009  Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of Palilula and Boban Mikic, member of Municipal council, visited this location due to the works on the project `Cleaning of terrain for forming paths in Bubanj`. The realization of this project works was authorized to Public Enterprise `Mediana`. `This project was approved to Palilula Municipality according to the competition from the sphere of the works of general public works and expect that already planned works are to be completed until certain deadline, until the end of this year –emphasized Milan Djurdjevic. At the moment the work is based on removal of wild waste dumps and organization of grass surfaces. We think that the performer of these works is not following certain dynamics of this project and is not engaging in complete the approved number of workers – all 60 of them from the evidence of National employment service office. President Djurdjevic after the visit of Memorial Park `Bubanj` emphasizes that the cleaning of this terrain for forming trim paths has not even started yet, although weather conditions are good.

HUMAN ACTS IN PRACTICE 02.09.2009  Within the action `Your five minutes- someone`s whole life!` Institute for bood transfusion – Nis and Palilula Municipality organized on voluntary blood donation action in the hall of local community building `Palilula`. The contribution to this human action that lasted from 9 00 to 13 00 hours gave seven of our citizens, mostly employees from Palilula Municipality. This is on more in the line of activities of voluntary blood donations that has been so far realized in the organization of Institute for blood transfusion and Palilula Municipality.

SCHOOL BAGS FOR FIRST GRADE PUPILS 01.09.2009  The start of new school year in Palilula Municipality was celebrated traditionally in a special way. In seven elementary and two special schools that welcomed new 700 young pupils, the pupils from older grades welcomed new friends with special programme. They were joined also with the head masters of these schools.It was very cheerful in `Bubanjski heroji` school – the school that was visited by Palilula Municipal authorities. Milos Stojkovic, Municipal councilor, dedicated warm words of welcome of Palilula president Novakovic to Verica Radenkovic, headmaster of this school, and wished young fresh pupils, their parents and the whole school collective one good and successful work beginning. In the cooperation with Chinese Trade Association in Nis, these young pupils got school bags and school tackles for present. They received the presents from Gua Sihao, president of the Association and businessman Chan Chui. Bratislav Vukadinovic, the president of the Association of Serbian-Chinese business association emphasizes that this is just one more human activity that has been realized in the cooperation with Palilula Municipality and Chinese association in Nis. read more |

`Third Agriculture Fair - Nis 2009` that was organized in Niska Banja from September 25-27 by the Administration for agriculture and village development (City of Nis) and was opened by Milos Simonovic, the mayor of Nis. Palilula Municipality participated in the preparation of this fair manifestation and represented the wide range of products from this municipal area. The Fair offer was represented this year in closed space of `balloon hall` area where the presentation of firms, equipment producers, agricultural producers were, while the visitors of this fair could see exhibitions of home made products and ethno art pieces, exhibition of wild animas and small animals and pets, flower exhibition, as well as exhibition of agricultural mechanization and equipment.
Within the finishing activities of summing up the results of public discussion about pre-draft of `STRATEGY OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT`, Palilula Municipality organized the discussion with the citizens and a press conference. This important document was presented by president Novakovic: `We would like go all over to the final objective – to reduce the number of those unemployed in our municipality with the elaboration of the Strategy and Strategic planning. Then, we want to develop the sector of small and medium enterprises, to calm down transition effects and to create the ambience for potential home and foreign investors –emphasized Novakovic.
Republic competition of the scouts of Serbia with the title `Cup of Kralj Petar` I was organized in Memorial park `Bubanj` from 18 to 20 September.
Within the celebration of the Week of world ecologic movement `CLEAN UP THE WORLD`, promoted in Serbia by EKOpolis net and national action `Clean up Serbia` in Krusce, the promotion of this worldwide ecologic campaign was organized. Under the motto: United community against climate change –Let`s clean up Nis` we started the cleaning wild dump location that has been representing for many years serious treat to for the people living in Krusce and stands for the ugly spot of this settled area. The initiative for the whole action was started by the Council of citizens from Krusce and it was fully supported by the authorities of Municipality of Palilula, but also by the Council for life protection and sustainable development of the City of Nis.
Economic and tourist manifestation `Days of Burek–Nis 2009`, that was organized in Nis this year from September 11 to 13, at the territory of Palilula municipality in Vojvode Gojka street was very successful. Many thousands of fellow citizens were tasting delicious burek (sort of Serbian traditional cheese pie) for whole three days at this location. They also enjoyed in rich cultural and music programme. Beside good promotion of famous `Nis burek`, that according to many people and tourists is one true brand of Nis, Greek, Bulgarian and China bakers were also presented their sort of this delicious food. The visitors and participants of this manifestation were greeted by Greek consul, His Excellency George Psiachas.Days of Burek has also one new feature this year, it is competition character of the whole manifestation. According to professional jury estimation, the best burek was made by bakers` `MIOS` , and `Brankovic` and `MN` are the second and third best. Bakers` `Esnaf` was rewarded for the innovation in burek making. `MBN``s burek was the best according to the visitors of this manifestation. `Simonovic` bakers got the second award, and `Kiflica` the third in this category. 
Palilula Municipality celebrated its slava SABOR SRPSKIH SVETITELJA – saints` festivity day on September 12 2009. In the presence of the Orthodox Bishop of Nis- Irinej with many priests from Nis Еparchy, the traditional cutting of festivity cake was organized. Milos Simonovic, Mayor of Nis with his associates, representatives of city municipalities `Medijana`, `Niska Banja` and `Pantelej`, `Sokobanja` Municipality were all present at the celebration in Palilula Municipality. The representatives of `Chinese cultural association` and `Slovenian cultural association` in Nis together with many people from social, political life of Nis and business associates and friends of the Municipality were also invited to be the guests of festivity cocktail. The host of this year festivity was Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly and Milos Stojkovic will the host of the next year religious event.
After the estimation that the works in Memorial park `Bubanj` are not being realized due to previously expected project dynamics, the representatives of activities reacted – Public Enterprises `Mediana` and `Gorica`, as well as the representatives of National employment service in Nis. Press conference was organized in Bubanj, where the activities of the engaged workers on this project were presented to the public. Bratislav Vuckovic, deputy manger of Public Enterprise Mediana gave his word that the planned activities, especially those referring to forming trim and bike paths in Bubanj, will have been completed within given deadline. Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of Palilula Municipality, gave the statement that the representatives of Palilula Municipality, as carriers of Bubanj project would regularly visit this terrain that was located for project realization and discuss about the remarks. 
From this school on the pupils from Pasi Poljana in Palilula municipality will not be anymore traveling to school `Kralj Petar I`. After many years in their village newly built school type object was opened as one of the connected class to the main school building for about 200 pupils of younger and higher classes. The number of pupils that will go to this school will be only higher –emphasized Robert Dzunic, headmaster of this school. It stands like this for the fact that number of people living in Pasi Poljana is higher on year level and it is expected that pupils from this school will be also children from Cokot village. Newly built object in Pasi Poljana on the day of new school beginning visited Biljana Jovanovic, member of City Council. She wished pupils and teachers all the best for the beginning of new school year. The building of this object was started five years ago.
